This isn't that kind of forum... One of the better ones I've seen to help others quite frankly. So, if you don't want to help, don't bother posting to someone's request for assistance. Nuff said.

Now birdondubz, to actually help you, TAT2 is correct that you could have searched (and is highly recommended icon_razz.gif ), but this exact question was my first question to this forum, so it is near and dear to my heart icon_smile.gif

First, definitely update the version of MPT you are using the built-in update option in MPT.

Second, read this and follow the instructions. http://forums.mobiledia.com/topic21707.html

You are probably experiencing WinXP driver issues.

Third, you are obligated to help at least three other people with this same problem in the future, "pay it forward" icon_biggrin.gif

Netkent I think it is help enough that I said it was in here that he just had to look for it. ( the link you posted). Why should I go find it for him when he can do this himself?

Most of the people I'm aware of on the forum that has tried this was on xp sp2. Wouldn't think that would be your problem, but it is a difference. One other thing I have seen regarding the steps you went through is to uninstall MPT, "fix" the drivers as described in the original link I sent you. Try just accessing the phone with WinXP BT access just to be sure your driver is working ok. Then reinstall MPT. Double check your drivers again in case XP "helped" you out by switching drivers again.

Before doing this though, double-click My Computer and select Properties, then the Hardware tab, then Device Manager. Do you see Bluetooth Devices? If so, when you expand it, do you see CSR USB Bluetooth Device? If you right click on it and select Properties, is it a WIDCOMM driver? What version is it on the Driver tab?

In case you haven't noticed, a lot of the "helping" posts here actually give specific forum URL posts, as samsung just demonstrated again with a reply. As good as this forum is, the quality of the search capability/quality hits aren't quite up there with Google yet (no offense intended mobiledia wizards icon_wink.gif ). If you happen to recall where a specific good post was located, doesn't hurt to zap it here. You could say "search for yourself" over and over with a lot of the posts that come here.

But the thing I personally have found that makes this forum somewhat unique is that people here are very willing to answer everything from fairly complex questions to the most simpleton questions around.

Just different styles I guess. icon_grin.gif
