Just wondering if it is possible (and if so, how) to remove the cingular intro from the phone. I've got a USB cable and transfer tones and pictures, but have no idea about this. Do I need to flash? If so, what do I flash with?
Thanks,

You can do it with Januka firmware editing software, a tutorial will soon be available at my site.

any way to let me know how right now (partially written tutorial...grammatical errors won't be held against you, promise...)...I just hate having to wait for the intro and extro to finish for power on and off.

oh, well I thought you just wanted to edit the cingular stuff out, the pause before the phone starts and shutsdown is still going to be there.

You can put whatever you want. On my X426 I rebranded my x427m cingular firmware to Rogers. But you could basically put whatever you wanted as long as the image you use to replace the cingular graphics is <= in size.
