I am a QA auditor for a small cell phone refubish shop. I do alot of Nextel phones mostly, but today we received an order of Samsung x427m's and I need to do a field and functions test, but because we've never gotten this model phone before noone knows how to get into a service menu, we have no codes or anything on it, can someone help me out?

Hey thank you I appreciate your help, I just tried the code you gave me on my x427m and it just brought up a little message saying 'Help screen (4357)' and nothing else, but if you could find your list for me I'd greatly appreciate it. I told my boss I'd do some research on it this weekend.

well, we do a number of tests,
we check the internal IMEI number to make sure it matches the IMEI on the back of the phone and the box it comes in.
we check the software version, the phone model, and the CP version.
and a Function test, to make sure everything is working properly.
