pc link cable for samsung e720

hi i have purchased a pc link cable from ebay and the software that came with it does not seem to work and the seller is not helping.

i have got the easy gprs software, and aslo dwonloaded a pc link thing from the samsung website but they only have a com1 connection not a usb!
has anyone got any ideas anything would be a help

I just purchased a cable link and its not the one he states in the auction totally for a different phone. I had to call Samsung to verify this.

THe cables have different model numbers and they are for different phone models.

I don't think the USB cable will work with the software. YOu have to have the data cable and again it will depend on your model phone.

i have now got the software working, had to download drivers from sansung site but it will not work again! it has been working once but it now keeps dialling the internet through my phone and says it is off line :S

within pc studio/pimms check setup - com ports for some strange reason mine only works on com4, dont why but it does.
Hope you sort it

I can only get COM1 and COM3 ports to show up when I try to intall another port.
How do I get this to show up?

hI blueab, have you downloaded pimms for your model ?
Do you know how to check your systems device manager to see if your phones recognised and alter port speeds?

Like a fool i uninstalled mine yesterday and it took me an hour to get it working properley.

It will work, try reinstalling drivers and software but make sure your cable is disconected first
