I was thinking about getting an unlocked sidekick 2 and using it with my sim card, i live in ark. and was wondering if i wold get good coverage using it? i text message most of the time so i dont need excellent service. would it use the 900 towers from cing? and also, would i have to pay any roaming fees or anything at all or would it be just like using cingular?

You'll be able to use it without roaming fees or anything like that *but* with no 850 band you'll find your service fairly poor, esp in AR. If you're in or near a metro area, you should be OK but if you're out in the country you might not even get a signal.

wouldn't be worth it. if all you mainly do it TXT, then get an LG F9100/9200. then you'll have a device that uses both 850/1900 mhz. with the sidekick only at 1900, you'll have a nice looking paperweight.

There's a Nokia model with a keyboard too, but the model number escaspes me at the moment... but I definately would stay away from the sidekick if you're in the country. 1900 is worthless out there.

I was wondering if I got an unlocked SideKick would it work with my AT&T SIM? Would I still get coverage, I live near Reading, PA. And will it cost more. or any extra charges?
