my daughter has a motorola v220 and wants the 300 free texts on o2.
virgin are dragging their feet with a unlock code, even though she has paid well in excess of the £30 top ups.
is there a code that can be entered to unlock the phone without waiting for virgin to pull their finger out.
thanks steve

Your phone is still locked if its asking for a subsidy code, the sim subsidy code is the code you need to unlock your phone to all GSM carriers. Try http://www.geocities.com/xxxsamsungxxx8081 if you cannot bring up motoaide

It means sometimes you may have to bump back the flash then unlock, then bump back up. Between the two software versions find out yours by dialing from the home screen: *#9999# Then determine wether or not you have to roll back yours, and the site http://www.motoaide.com:8081

TO bump back the firmware you have to flash your phone with the unlocked R364 flash file (contact old fool for this or it may be hosted at motoaide). If you dont know how to flash the phone then you need to go to the firmware and flashing section of the motorola talk forum (at the bottom of the page) and read the thread labelled Flashing Vxxx phones.
