I need help with a "subsidy code" for my new ROKR phone. I have an old AT&T account that was rolled over to Cingular and since it is a business account I can officially transfer to AT&T. Well you probably have guessed by now my sim doesn't work in the ROKR even though it works in my other two Cingular branded phones. I am totally pissed and Cingular will not help me out.
Please help.

Me too ! Me too ! I can not believe they are so protective of that number...
I want to get my all phone book on this one... Why is this not possible... the cingular "technical expert" I talked to said that this is impossible, the SIM cards are different, it will never work... BS... I use my ATT SIM card in a Nokia phone I baught in Japan (for Japan) and have no problem whatsoever... then I told him that there are services that apparently sell this number on the WEB... and he replied that I was free to use such services...
Anyways --- If anybody knows the ROKR E1 subsidy code... that would be a nice thing to publish ! Thanks ahead.

Has anyone been able to buy this phone unlocked and used it with someone other than Cingular?

hardly... if the service is older than 30 days the ETF will apply... if the OP bought the phone from an independant dealer there could be a secondary ETF paid to the dealer if the service cancels in less than 6 months...
if the service is less than 30 days he has to return the equiment
in the end who gets pissed off?

Buyers remorse is different for Cingular/At&t then T-Mobile. Im sure Elmo is aware of the ETF waiver policies, he is a rep for Cingular.

I recently bought a Rokr unlocked on Ebay, it works great with my AT&T SIM card. Now I want to unlock it for more music (it's locked to 100 songs).

Samsung,
Do you know of a way to unlock the ROKR? I have SC and that wont unlock it (it has the same problem as the V3 with 8.26 had). Do you know of anything that will work with it. E-mail me. Thanks
