My MPT isn't recognizing my new ROKR. It worked fine with my old V551.
Is there a software upgrade or something?
I can see it when I go to "My Computer", but it won't let me add files.
Anybody know?
Thanks

MPT is very touchy when switching phones. Have you tried going into your control panel, modems, and delete the 'motorola modem'?

If you do that, make sure your phone is not connected to the cpu, launch MPT, then connect the phone when prompted. This way both MPT and your ops sys will detect the proper modem for that phone...

If you still have a problem, make sure you run the live update for MPT

Hope this helps! Marla

I tried what you said to no avail. MPT's still not recognizing my ROKR.
What's strange is that I was able to add a picture to the folder that's 'F' drive, under pictures. It shows on my computer as being on the phone, but when I look on the phone itself it's not there.

I just figured out how to see the files I put on my phone. You have to copy from drive to phone after you copy from computer to drive. I didn't know there was a difference between drive and phone. I didn't see anything about this step in the manual.
My MPT still isn't working, but at least I can add pictures and ringtones to my ROKR.

You'll probably need to update MPT and the update may not be out at this time.

I did the update of MPT and it still doesn't recognize my RPKR. Perhaps you are correct about the update needed for the ROKR not being out yet.
Like i said, I can access the phone files through 'My computer' going to 'F'drive/ringtones etc.

The only CD that came with the ROKR was an installation disc for iTunes.

It's really no biggy. I can access my phone through the 'explore' list. it shows as an 'F' Drive. I did like MPT's interface though. My version was bought through EBay. It's a ripped CD. I still get updates though. You're probably right, not enough people have ROKR's to warrant an upgrade just yet.
