Hi
I've been unable to connect my laptop with my new Nokia 3230, using a SMART modular technologies bluetooth USB dongle.
PC Suite 'Get Connected' returns error "Cannot use connection type. Check that all the needed hardware, software and drivers are available."
I have downloaded and installed the latest PC Suite 6.6.16, and drivers from SMART. The bluetooth USB dongle shows as device is working properly, and mobile shows laptop as a paired device.
Also if I try to send an image file from mobile to the laptop it returns error "sending failed" please help!!!
I'm hoping someone can offer me advice. I've already followed the user manual and tried troubleshooting on nokia.com but to no avail
Thanks, Mark

There are a lot of issues with Nokias connecting over BT to Windows XP SP2. I would recommend try to find out if the BT at all works on the PC. Just because Device Manager claims that its working, does not mean that it is indeed working. You can also try to getr your hand on a copy of Windows 2000. That will help.

Since SP2 on XP bluetooth is much easier thanks to the Microsoft drivers.
Normally...
I've tried to search for the SMART bluetooth dongle... hard to find.
BUt, I did find them.
They use the BlueOpal Bluetooth stack, which I never heared of.
I would recommend any Bluetooth dongle which uses Widcomm stack which are easily work with Windows XP with SP2.
