Anybody have the new motorola ROKR phone with the iTunes? If so anybody have an opinion on this phone? i have a razr now, im on my third phone because they all break on me, well one broke, and the second was a broken warranty exchange when they sent it to me, if this one breaks again with the same problem im going to try and switch phones. Does anyone think cingular will let me switch this phone out for my razr? if i pay the difference?

I have it and I love it. It's very easy to use. I can't get MPT to recognize it, but I can still access the files. I was using a V551 and that's a great phone.
The only difference besides the iTunes is no voice record or dial. Unfortunate since I like that feature.

I never used voice dial anyhow so thats no biggie for me. I just gotta talk cingular into getting me that phone instead of my razr cause my stupid freaking razr broke AGAIN. Ill be in the middle of a conversation itll make this loud static noise, then shuts off. I could see if maybe i dropped it, or got it wet, but this phone is 2 days old, ive only charged it once. The last phone was also 2-3 days old.

One other thing I'm not crazy about the ROKR is that the V551 was a clam shell design and those bring the mouth piece a little closer to your mouth. I always am shouting because I think people can't hear me.
Good luck with Cingular customer service. I've never had much luck with them.
I'm wondering if your problem is not with your phone but your carrier.

No cause i had perfect reception when the phone shut itself down. The first 2 razrs i got the problem i had is they would just white out and lock up for no reason. The first phone was 4-5 months old, the replacement they sent me died in 2-3 days, and now this one is 2 days old and starting this, the first time it happend it was like 12 hours old, really sick of this razr. Im used to both style phones cause i have the LgF9100 shaped just like the ROKR phone

The ROKR doesn't have the wow looks factor that the RAZR have. I paid $350 for it because I already was a cing. customer. They could have made it more fancy.
I had a similar exper. to yours with a V600. I went through 3 before I switched to a V551.
By the time i got a V600 that worked I accidentally dropped it in the toilet. It never worked right again. I really didn't want to use it any way.

my friend does, problem is, he listens to music all the time and that drains the hell out of his rckr's battery; no wonder i cant reach him
aside from that, its design resembles to that of a motorola Cxxx, not a piece of art.

I only use it for an hour or so at a time. I haven't noticed a big drain on the battery(surprisingly). I've actually only charged it once since I got it last Thursday(?).
