new firmware now available to update via sony ericsson website, at the min its only working with unbranded phones, so customers with branded operator phones will have 2 wait a little

also the camera has been improved frm version 4.5 to 5.0.

Hey all,
I have just updated my phone to R1N035 and some of the updates listed above have been installed but on checking the quality of my camera the recording quality is still poor and is still 4.5 according to mysoftware info.
Anyone else got this problem or not?
On installing i couldn't see any of my Java boxes, they appeared blank so i may have missed something there but the update seemed to go fine.

sorry wont b able 2 comment personally until o2 approve the firmware, but alot of people have been saying that camera an vid quality is as good as r1a but its actually the screen makin it seem poorer??

As i said the software info says its updated and the other updates seemed to work. i have put the recent videos on my pc and they still seem real bad quality compared to the original software.
Anyone else having this problem or has the new update updated ur camera to 5.0?

i just updated after being blocked a few times by sony site. the global update was saying my servivice provider wast allowing it... weird cuz my phone is unlocked and i switched simcards a few time but ok nevermind that it worked today...
on the service info check im still on camera 4.5
maybe sonyericsson stopped the upgrade to 5 because it was buggy?
and i dont notice any diffreneces to the mp3 or reception quality...

SEUS was offline for a while there, which is why u were geting the error messages, im o2-uk branded k750i, and o2 still aint approved new firmware yet, so i personally cant comment on it, im just going on other peoples experiences that i have picked up frm other forums

for o2 branded phones, with cda ending /16, they can now be updated to r1n via SEUS, updating now, will post back when i have had chance 2 play around with it

ok, been playing around with r1n, heres what i noticed 2 what i originally posted
1.video quality an cam quality defo better
2.cam quality improved
3.bluetooth has always worked fine for me, no difference
4.display does luk better
5.i live an work in excellent reception areas, i wudnt notice a difference.
6.yep backlight dont come back on, very annoying that was
7.menu modified
8.cant notice a difference in mp3 volume
9.camera has went form 4.4 - 4.5 not 2 5.0 as originally posted

i try to upgrade my k750I firmware but y cannot, the SEUS interface tell me "you have the latest firmware".. but this is false.. i have the (R1L002)... i check >*<<*<*.. someone can help me ..please

it isnt false, because that firmware is the latest firmware that your operator supports, the network operators need do run checks on the firmware to make sure that it will run without any glitches on its network, which is why you are experiencing the dely in being able to update to the latest version, my advice would be to do what i do, once you know the firmware is released, just check back on SEUS once a week
