Hi,
other than using cables, try using irda's
The Cable is an older technology but still it allows you to transfer data at the speed of 9600 bps. The cable might sometimes restrict you to do one way downloads. (EX: PC-Phone & not allowing you to do Pc-Phone) You'll be needing to download some softwares to make the transferring.
Softwares: EasyGPRS,
The IrDa is not the latest but atleast quite fastest, it lets you download & upload data at a speed of 11200bps wirelessly. Other than the cable lets you only download data to your phone from your pc, but this does allow you to download & Upload. This'll be very convenient if your using your phone as an entertainment instrument or PDA.
Softwares you may need: EasyGPRS and some extra drivers based on your phone & Pc.
The BlueTooth is the latest and the quickest, letting you access the phone even 100 metres away from you while connected to a bluetooth dongle on your pc. This is indeed a outstanding way of transferring data on to your phone and from your phone to a pc or from a pc.
The price Comparison,
DataCable<Infrared Adaptor<Bluetooth Dongle.
example,
$8<$12<$20
the prices may vary. In Sri Lanka it really costs around $50 for a Bluetooth Dongle. So i could say that the prices are according to your market and may vary.
Bye,
