To make Skins you'll need to find motoskin, I think you can get a copy at http://mobileaide.com:8081 and then its a very very long road from there, otherwise you'll have to find some sites that give pre-made ones. Lastly what program did you use to try and make a folder? Just keep trying it should still work. And if you haven't turned the phone off in a while try that too.

well, i was using p2ktools, but it only worked once, and when it was deleted i tried 20 maybe 30 times and no luck. i read on some diffrent forums that Vxxx triplet phone werent compatible with skins, but i ddownloaded a guide and it said it worked with the triplet phone. the only thing was the skin was intended for a razor phone. thanks for the reply

Well then that could have been it. Sometimes cross breeding skemes doesn't work, actually most of the time depending on the models your trying to cross. Try mobango.com I haven't been in a while and their bigger on nokia but maybe it will work out for you. And try some other p2k programs or the other versions of p2kman they have. (I think theres 3 versions including)

i just looked on mobango.com and it says i can put the skins files in the system folder under mmc. is it possible for the phone to read these files from that directory or do i need to keep trying to get the skins folder to work? and would it be recommended to update the firmware to a higher triplet phone such as the 551 where skins are allowed on that phone?

551 is not a triplets phone. 72R is newest triplets flash.

This part is samsungs domain, until I ensure a backup phone I won't enter the flash/flex world. But the time will come when I have a phone to fall back on. Lastly hopefully he can guide you through this section.
