i activated my phones sim lock, now i can't remeber what it is.
now its tells me sim locked when i tried it on after removing my sim card and placing it back. i was hoping to get may the manufacturers setting codes to remove it completely.

If you mean that you activated a SIM PIN and you forgot then you will need to lock the phone up until it says sim blocked or enter puk, then your service provider can give you the code, I would recommend that you contact them for troubleshooting and they will probably suggest that you do that. Better to have them on the phone while you are doing it though incase the PUK doesnt work, then atleast you locked the phone up while troubleshooting with Customer care/technical care and they can replace whats necessary.

i see but i thought my D500 was completely block because i could not even block it no matter how many codes i tried so i could use the puk provided my service provider, i keep getting the error messgae 'wrong password', or 'password too short'. i even tried puttin in my mtn sim card and still got the same messages. so i thought it could be the handset itself that had the problem. as soon as i put it on with any sim card it displays "'Sim locked" and a slot to type in the password.
i will send you the imei and s/n nos and others of my phone.
i really need it to get working as it has rendered me incommnicado.

i have samsung x100 and when i got it, i immediately changed security code and put simlock so no one else could use my phone with their sim cards.. but now i want to change my sim card... and cant. if i enter old sim.. i still cant change the code or switch simlock off from the security menu. can someone help? i have no data cable and programs
