I am looking for an antivirus for Windows XP because I am tired of all that shit that tries to infect my PC. So far I looked into Kaspersky Anti Virus and McAfee VirusScan. Which one is better or should I pick something entirely different?

I don't mind paying, actually. Is Antivir bettet than McAfee or Kaspersky?

they all do the same job if they are kept updated... I use avast myself... used to use McAfee

No they don't. Norton sometimes can't delete bugs it finds

Norton even doesn't find some viruses sometimes...
Friend of mine used it... he stated his computer is virus-free... tested FreeAV... found 5 viruses 
Afaik it's the best... at least it has won many comparing test of german computer magazines and websites.

currently using norton (came with my dell)
wishing i'm using mcafee
sometimes fry's will offer free after rebate for mcafee antivirus
question: didnt symantec buy out mcafee?
