I just bought a brand-new, unlocked black Razr. They said all I have to do is pop Simm card (Att GSM) into it and it will work? Should have checked here first before I bought it, but too late now. Anyone know?

how did you unlock it? i'm having the same problem with cingular. I'm an old ATT customer and my sim card won't work. Cingular is not helping me at all. sorry if this has been discussed somewhere else.

I bought the phone online for about $325. It was unlocked. I got it a few days later and all I had to do was put my Simm card in and it worked.
I was very fortunate that the delivery guy left it in front of my door without getting a signature. Fortunate in that 1) it wasn't stolen, 2) I called and said I didn't get it and I'm getting a 2nd one to replace the 'stolen' one.
Can you believe a stupid delivery guy would leave a $325 item at someone's door in broad daylight?
Anyway, an unlocked phone will work with ATT GSm Simm card just by sticking it in Razr. Thanks for your help peoples.

AS I understand it Quad Band phones (being designed for the world market are not locked by Motorola (and probably other manufacturers).
I have a Moto 551 with the Cingular name on it , yet it works with ATT & T-Mobile.
