Water damage or do you drop your phone often?? Sometimes the flex cable on the camera jingles loose after some amount of shocks, but as far as the blockiness, is the camera set to the highest resolution?? Sometimes that has play with it, VGA pictures usually come out blocky, but if you bump up the resolution as its a 1.3 mp RAZR then the quality should come crisper.

I didn't realize there was a second page, but yes i have dropped my phone occasionally, that could be a good reason for this problem. So, perhaps my camera stopped working before the rain got in.
I will try flashing it, when I have time just to see what happens, i'll try to stop by radio shack and buy a 5pin usb.
As far as the flex cable being loose, how would I fix that?
And Yes my video camera was already set to high and still same issue, I had it set to low as well, same problem, put it back to high, same problem. And i managed to change the quality by playing videos- going to options- then- "video setup"
BTW, I am still able to play video, and see pictures in my camera.

Agreeance, the camera and the video camera work together, if the camera viewfinder works and the video doesn't thats software, but to put the flex cable back on you would have to disassemble the phone, always the long run, but you won't bother if the camera viewfinders still functional.

Out of all of Google, I only saw one guy with a suggestion - that the contacts were loose inside the phone, and that's why the camera was freezing the phone up.
So using http://www.motomodders.net/Default.aspx?tabid=55&forumid=12&view=topic &postid=4052
I took apart the top-half of the phone, and found *alot* of dust. I unseated the connectors, blew out the dust, and re-seated the connectors.
And it works now!

I am having the exact same issue, so it's not due to water damage. Mine have never been near water. It's probably another one of the tons of issues Motorola is having with their Razr phones. They look nice, nice features, but very very very poor testing before release. I am very dissatisfied with mine. This is the third one I tried before i found one that worked. I do occassionally still have the battery charging problem too. |

Everything else works fine on the phone. |
Have you found a way to fix the camera problem yet? I am having the same issue. Let me know if you find out what the problem is.

You can tell right away if it's water damaged, the white dot behind your battery turns red. There is also one inside. I'm having the exact same problem with my phone. It's worked for a couple months taking pictures, now it freezes anytime i hit the camera button, on a black screan that tells you how full your card is. You have to remove the battery and power it up again to get anything to work. It sounds like another one os Moto's bugs to me. Let me know if anyone finds out what is causing this. I'm going to take mine in next week to a Cingular repair shop. Maybe they can tell me?

Do a google search for motorola modding. There is a site where you can get software for your Razr. I have had the same problems and after flashing my phone fixed everything. You can't always rely on the company to honor your warranty so if you flash/flex your phone you can fix it yourself.
