ok, today while i was in class, i was messing with my phone, and i opened my phone, and where it normally says t-mobile, it said cingular, so i started messing with settings, and i realized i could switch between t-mobile networks, and the two available cingular networks. i was wondering why is this happening (i'm not complaining tho) and will it charge my phone bill anyting extra for doing this?
thanks in advance

You posting in a public place? lol anyways the reasont why that happens is that T-Mobile has a romaing agreement with Cingular in your area, therefore you can use both T-Mobile and Cingulars network without being charged and additional fees.

your phone has a registering order... it will look for signal from your own carrier first...if none available it will take whatever it can get

Worst case scenario with another carrier is that you are going to get late billables, this is where you make phone calls during one cycle but your carrier doesnt get the information until you are in another cycle. This means that the minutes you used in a previous cycle get added to your current one.

well i'm only using the cingular network to text people in parts of my school where tmobile gets no signal, but if they add those to my next billing period, its ok, cuz i have unlimited text anyways
