hello peeps. i just bought my razr today brand new at the local tmobile dealer. and i have a question. i can barely hear the keypad volume even when it is at lvl. 7. can anyone help me out on this?

sounds like a defect to me. However, you can adjust the gain_table seem on the phone. Requires some knowledge of seem editing. Use xlr8 site for the exact offset numbers.
Backup your old before uploading the edited gain_table to be safe.

Keypad tones are just a complete waste of battery power, turn them right off

Before going in to seem editing or saying that the phone is defective I would ask you to do a master reset to restore all factory settings. You will not lose any data. In addition are you sure the phone is not behaving the way it is supposed to? Have you compared the keypad volume to other razrs?
