i just flashed my phone to get rid of mlife and other att junk,
now my phone displays military time , 13:29 instead of 1:29,
and word like color are now colour message center is message centre.
my current versions are
TRIPLETS_G_0B.09.72R

looks like the flash you used has a Canadian English language pack installed. To change the military time back to normal time just go menu>settings>initial setup>time and date> turn autoupdate off> time>highlight the 24hr and press up or down to change to pm/am.

ok i figured out the time thing, that was just me not trying hard..
but how do i know if i'm getting a regular english firmware or the candian pack one?

Numbers indicate which language pack is on the flash.

The language pack you have on you phone isn't Canadian English, It's English English (ie REAL English) the so called "regular" english you speak of is your American Bastardisation (excuse the phrase) of the language.
If I'm right .72R normall comes with language pack 0003 which comes with British English
P.S. I'm sorry for my little rant but it annoys me when people think American English is "real" english

Well Canadian English is REAL english too....... we spell colour the same way lol

ok.... so why is it that my phone always defualts to this hebrew or aribic? type when entering names into the phone book ? can anyone point me to a good working flash with what a average person in the U.S. would consider "normal"?
