So many people have cautioned against VZW because it disables phones and forces customers to use the carrier supported website for various activities. So, once and for all, can someone who truly knows tell me what exactly VZW disables?
QUESTION:
If I were to buy, say, a Moto E815 with BlueTooth, would I be able to transfer photo etc files from my phone to my iMac computer and vice versa with that BlueTooth?

I just got VZW. I don't know who or how but on the newer phones you cannot record your own sounds and set them as ringtones or download ringtones from other sites. You're either stuck with paying large prices for nutty useless ringtones on their site or buy a cable and get software to put them on the phone. But typically for the techy types. It's just ludicrous that the feature is not there.

But you did not answer my question about a BlueTooth file transfer from phone to computer. -Kismet

From what iv'e seen in other posts, Verizon has disabled many bluetooth features on th E815. Although I do not know for sure that might just be one of them. You are probably better off posting your question in the M0T0R0LA TALK section there is probably a better chance of your question getting answers.

That's enough for me to know. I cannot trust a company that disables phones like that. -Kismet
