Hello to the forum, this is my first post so please be gentle
I recently purchased a K750i and am extremely happy with the phone, however I do have a problem with the File manager and USB File transfer.
I can connect the phone to my PC using the provided USB cable (I have the latest version of PC Suite) and I can browse the contents of the phone, upload and download files etc... When I try to find an image created with the camera I cannot find them. I then created a specific folder for the images and moved the images to the folder using File manager. but when I connect to the phone using the USB cable to download the images they are not there (the folder I created is there but the images inside the folder are not).
From what I understand the Memory stick is not visible when browsing the phone via the USB connection (or is it?); with my old phone (Nokia 6230) the memory card was available to browse as a separate storage device in the phones directory; this seems not to be the case with the K750i... as far as I can tell the Stick Duo is either unavailable or is simply added to the cumulative storage of the phones memory?
I hope this all makes sense; I just need to know how to get the images off the phone and onto the PC, and perhaps some information on how the files are managed by the phones OS?
One last question; I have copied a couple of MP3s to the phone, by default will they be stored on the phones memory or the memory stick?
Thanks in advance for you help!!
George

OK I'm gonna answer my own post...
Looks like the phones memory becomes a logocal storage device available in Explorer. I had assumed (wrongly) that files would be sent using the SE Browser on the Dekstop.
The strange thing is my laptop still shows the Drive I have networked as drive 'D' (which should be the office machine) but when I click on the drive it's actually the phones memory. Hmmm....
This is all very strange
Please feel free to post if you think I'm missing something.
Regards
George

Did you manage to transfer your photos? I have exactly the same problem. I can see the photos in the handset but cannot see them from the pc? I have tried moving them around but no luck. Driving me mad!

I'm sure I saw somewhere that the only way to transfer your photos is by bluetooth or sending them in e-mail or text.

Hi there
Got it sorted... the problem is that I have other mapped Netword drives on my system; when I clicked on what 'should' have been my Nestwork drive it was actually the phones memory card. The strange thing is that the drive name hadn't changed, the phones memory had replaced the drive (hope this makes sense).
Drop me a line if you get stuck

Hi people, Had the exact same problem with my phone. I have used it many times to click and transfer pictures to my Sony Viao and it worked fine, but recently i can't trasnfer images to the laptop as the pictures cannot be sighted on the phone when i connect it by USB to my computer and try to copy them to the comp.
any idea how i can down load the files from the 750i to the viao.
the memory stick on the phone is just not accessible.
thanks

Hi George,
something similar might have happened with my laptop as i used a pen drive on the port and that may be preventing the comp from reading the phone memory stick.
Still can't get it to read the files from the phone. how did you manage to get it done
tnx
