I have a Sony Ericsson T610. And I am thinking about buying a SamSung E335. I will join a T-Mobile $49.99 family plan.

I want to know, if I get a cable for T610 or E335, connect them to my PC, and use cell phone as a modem to dial up to my own ISP (university ISP) to access internet, am I going to be charged extra money for data connection by T-Mobile?

Thank you very much.

You will need TM Internet for 19.99$ per month (unlimited internet access) to use your phone as a modem.

I want to reduce my expense as little as possible. Let me put it in this way. If I have family plan with unlimited night and weekend. If I have a cable to connect my cell to my PC, and dial to a third party ISP, say AOL, will I be able to go through the connecting to AOL by my cell (after 9pm or weekend) without being disconnected or surcharged by T-mobile?

Thanks for all the helps.

No you will NOT be charged by T-Mobile if you do that after 2100 Hrs or on the Weekend ok, and if you build the T-Zones dialup service that i put on this post you will use Mobile to Mobile to get on the internet with your T610 phone. I understand your question att i don't think you understand my reply to your question, you have unlimited mobile to mobile with a family plan if you set up your T610 the way i posted for dial up service. icon_smile.gif

I have to say that I am not sure I fully understand your answer. As I understand, I have to add T-Zone service into my family plan to do what you told me. Is this correct?
