Hello all: Is there a way to 'lock out' or disable the browser/internet access of a V551 (or others for that matter)?
I am on a Cingular service plan. This phone is shared between family members but want kids to have phone access only.
Thank you, $ting

Thank you!! however, this brings up another issue; when following the above path the first thing I'm asked is to enter an unlock code.
I never set a lock code in the first place. I just recently got this phone through Cingular. help?
Thanks again, $ting

Try 1234, or check your manual

1234 worked; thanks yet again. Wouldn't it be easier to just be able to lock out the phone button? Perhaps too much programming to do that.

I think this is easier personally, just lock the one application and then all the other phone features are still accessable

The other option is to just call Cingular customer svc and ask them to block the svc. Otherwise you may want to change the default lock code since there are some bright young'uns out there
