the puk code has nothing to do with the phone... its the simcard that is looking for it ..
so if you are using your simcard it is your code
you wont be able to use the service at all until you obtain the code...call customer care

my sister found a sony ericsson k800i we informed the police and we asked around our village after 2 months of having the phone no one has tried to retrieve it and we can't get onto it because of this puk code.
i have tried once myself and we havent touched i since is there only one type of puk code which someone can give to me and is it illegial to do so or is there any chnce of retrieving it ?
Well, if you put your sim in it, it won't ask for a puk, the puk is sim specific, and that sim belongs to someone else.

yea well if you put your own sim card into it, it will offcourse work, i think w800 is cingular so u can get it unlocked and use it on any gsm network,

yea, i had the same problem, and the thing that happened was i 4got my pin, and my phone started asking me for the puk code, i called cingular and they gave it to me in a flash, and now i got a new pin code for the phone too, im so happy. lol, any ways if anybody needs help, email me at goodkingusman@yahoo.com
