Someone please reply... I also have another question too. If you don't have your Moto Skin, will anything happen when you delete stuff in P2k?
no, nothing extra will happen than if you hadn't deleted the moto skin, but are your icons and such missing?

Ok, I have followed many guides in these forums and still have some problems. So, I'm going to post these isses and questions and then going to bed. Been up all night, this stuff gets addicting.

So, I have a Motorola Razor V3, with Phone tools software and have used SkiMan. SkiMan sometimes works and then almost seems as if I don't shut it down and restart at another time it won't work for me. I just changed my skin on the phone and don't really like what I have, I did not back up the original file it came with. Does anyone have this mma_ucp file or even one upgraded from this menu?

Also, what can I do to make P2K and SkiMAn work? It seems as though I may something installed wrong. My software for the phone works fine.

Ok, last thing I promise.....

I have a ton of games to try, with no way to load them. As I said none of the programs are working right. These are all in jad and jar files that won't even load on my computer let alone the phone. Anyone have any ideas?

Feel free to email me with ideas as well. By the way, I have some ringtones, wallpaper, screensavers and games if interested.

Thanks

Okay, I got my stuff figured out.

When I saw that the MotoSkin couldn't be deleted, I thought that you meant the one that was in Multimedia>Themes, but you meant the one in /a/mobile/skins, so that problem is solved.

Another thing I found yesterday while trying to get more memory on my phone was that you can delete stuff in /c/ to get more memory. I soon figured out that most of the stuff that you were suppose to delete in /a/ was in /c/. So I guess that all the stuff in /a/ was in /c/ because of my flash or something. But I deleted some stuff and achieved 7.5MB memory (without flash/flexing my phone) after messing up the ringer stuff so that it wouldn't ring when someone called.

right because you have the v3r version of the v3 right? As for the ringers use Motokit to fix that, there's a special menu option to fix that

@jen c

Reninstall the phone using the getting connected guide for P2k programs

Thanks for the help Malibu, but my ringers were fixed after I rebooted my phone yesterday. Forgot to state that. But I don't get it, is a V3r the samething as a regular V3? Because when I got my phone, it said that it was a RAZR V3 on the box. And isn't a V3r suppose to be red?

Well, yes and now, earlier this year motorola released a V3 that had the standard black or silver case but came with a new bootloader, firmware and flex, however they named it the v3r, then they released the V3r thats fire red, it has expandable memory and a bigger internal storage, as far as I know they're both running similar firmware but aren't interchangeable as far as flash and flex go. I got one when I got my new razr, but I sent it back and got a regular R374 firmware version

What is your Firmware version?

Hold *and # while powering up, I'm curious to see which firmware you have

I have already tried reinstalling the phone several times.

I'm not really worried about the skin I have. Other than I'd like to explore better ones. However I do wish to use something more advanced in menu tools. Does anyone have mma files for more advanced meu tools?

Thanks guys, love this forum it's helped me alot....

For the Skin problem...

Does skiman and P2k say that your phone is connected? To see if it is connected correctly, go open up P2ktools and see if it shows the amount of KB on your phone next the the green dot. If it is the correct amount, then it is most likely correctly connected. Then look through the /a/ and /c/ part and see if shows /a/mobile/skin or /c/mobile/skin. It should be in the /a/ selection if you have a V3, but in the /c/ selection if your have a V3r. Create a new folder in the Skin selection and name it the skin you want on the phone. Upload the ****.ski file into the folder and then open up Skiman. It should then be there. Upload the ****.ski file in there again if it says 0 KB next to the file name. Restart the phone and then see if it works.
