The phone works fine with cingular calling, but I cannot get my borwser messages and it only goes to T-Zones when I try to use it on the web. I have heard and read that there is a way to load new carrier software or something like that into the phone so that it shows Cingular settings and menu options just like the tutorial shows on their website. Mine doesn't look like that when I press the menu key. It's still loaded with the T-mobile settings. Some help please. |
go to this site.....
this will show you how to change your browser settings to Cingular

carefully... a master reset will bring the phone back to the factory settings... a master clear will do the same as well as clear any dloads anything else that did not come with the phone
the procedure for most motorolas is
From the standby screen press Menu key.
Scroll to Settings and select by pressing the right soft key.
Scroll to Initial Setup and select by pressing the right soft key.
Scroll to Master Reset and select by pressing the right soft key.
Enter Security Code (Default: 000000), OK.
Confirm "Reset All Phone Settings?" Press YES.
Master Reset complete, phone restarts.
this is normally a last resort in trubble shooting

I see everyone keeps pointing to the cingular website on how to reconfigure the browser settings on the phone. However this does not work because T-Mobile has locked the browser settings. Has anyone been able to use a t-mobile phone on cingular service and found a way to get the browser to work on cinglar network? Yes we can get and place calls. But use of internet is not available. Any cingular techs out there that know how to correct this?

we already gave the answer... you have to do it manually... a master reset will only retun the phone to factory settings... in this case ... the tmob settinmgs will refresh... follow the directions...
go to the site ON YOUR PC....manually enter the cingular settings...then delete the Tzones...

Hi folks,
I myself have the same pronlem as Teamrev. Bought a T-Mob A630, had it unlocked, now trying to get the browser and internet to work. Oh, I'm on a Cingular network.
As stated above, I would need to manually change the settings. According to Cingular link above, you go into settings, scroll down to Web Access (bteween Java Settings and Airplane Mode) , enter Web Access and then type in the new info.
Alas, on the T-Mob phone, it's hidden. Can anyone point out a link that can help us to activate the internet/email functions.
Thank you.
