I have a Nokia 3300 & can't download anything onto the phone. Does anyone know how to download directly onto the phone's internal memory? I have the DKU-2 usb cable, however, it only connects to the MMC memory. Please HELP!!! icon_wacko.gif

What you've got is a DKE-2 cable.

You phone is in fact two devices:
- a phone
- a cardreader

The cable only connects to the cardreader part, the only way to make contact to the phones memory is by buying a third party cable (no DKU-5, DKU-2, DKE-2 or whatever comes from Nokia) which connects to the phone with pins which are located under the battery cover.

The only software which would work which work with these typ of cables would be MobiMB or Oxygen Phone Manager 2.

Any idea what other 3rd party cable it is? Can I locate the cable by buying the other programs you recommend? I've searched for a cable & only find the one that connects for the card transfer. Any ideas??

You should search for a F-Bus cable (also called M2BUS), designed for 3300 model only.

Where to find, no idea. They are pretty hard to find.

Thanks! I found one on Ebay pretty cheap but it says that it should be used for the 3510 or 3590. Would it be interchangable with the 3300? Any help is always appreciated. Thanks again! icon_biggrin.gif

I don't think they are interchangeable.

As I said: hard to find.

Hey Bjoern! I have a 512 mb MMC card but as I reach a certain limit of songs the phone doesn't read them. The songs are on the phone's folders but the music player can't find them. I've seen some postings on the forum that say to create other directories within the "Music", "Recordings", or "Tracklists" folders but when I do all of the songs are still not available. As the all knowing, all seeing Master Jedi please HELP!!! icon_wacko.gif Thanks!

Is it the 99 Songs limitation?

A workaround would be by creating a playlist on your computer before you upload the songs, but I guess they will still have a 99 songs limit, so you might wann make 2-3 playlists.

Yes I think it is. I have tried to create seperate folders with individual playlists (containing less than 99 songs each) but when I open the music files on the phone it says either invalid tracklists or no music files found. What does work is I place all of the songs & playlists in the "Tracklists" folder & everything is great. Problem is anything over 99 songs wont show or play on the phone even though you can see its loaded to the phone. Any help would be great! Thanks in advance.

Don't create extra folders.

And the dumping of the songs is a small workaround which allows you 198 tracks (99 in the tracklists folder + 99 in the playlist)

Put all the songs in the songs folder and create playlists with less than 99 on your computer and save it in he tracklists folder.
But be sure, the tracklist is correct with the directories (gotta be b:\songs\*songname*.mp3 ).

The 6230 has similar problems, maybe you want to take a look here:
