Comes with a data cable. You can also use it to transfer contacts from Outlook into the phone. (Same with Calendar, but the 9800's calendar and reminder functions are pretty useless.)
I've had the kit for three days and it's pretty easy. I use Audacity to trim my MP3 files before transferring them.

Now that BitPim supports the 9800 can you synch it using bluetooth? Thanks!

Anyone figure out if the LG9800 works via bluetooth with bitpim?

i experimented for about an hour and got bluetooth to work with bitpim. i just used the bluetooth serial port and switched the settings in BitPim to port: com5. You also have to make sure the PC connection is set to bluetooth and the port must be enabled. its really simple from there.

I used 10.2.8 Jaguar but need 10.3 for Latest bitpim.
I get BLUETOOTH File transfer to say "Device does not have Necessary services" when I use "Browse Device" on Menubar for Bluetooth.
I am new to OS X 10.4. 3 - Tiger and VX9800 since both were new for Christmas.
I see failures on Tiger using /dev/cu.Bluetooth-PDA-Sync in the Protocol Log.
