ok, I had this problem myself. UNTIL i did the simple task of going into settings on the phone's menu went to "connection" and selected "sync" it asks you to put in a bunch of information ( u-r-l, name,etc.) but you dont have to, just exit out and unhook the phone from the usb and then put it back in and windows will install the driver and everything by itself unless of course you dont have XP.
unless of course you dont have XP.
