Have you got any idea about what should I do? I mean according to the Nokia PC Suite, the 6610 supports 4 midi channels. Mine supports 24...so I think it should play a whole song...and anyway if it plays a part, it surely can play it all. Most songs are no more than 16 channel...

Average about 50kb. And I've seen files that were previously in the phone well over 50kb. Another thing came into my mind...what if the Nokia PC Suite does this? I mean I tried converting an mp3 into .amr, .awb .aac, and the size is limited to 94.9kb on all the converted files, with one of them only being able to hold 12secs of my original mp3. The midi tones are all 14.9kb in the phone too. A strange coincidence. There is an option whilst 'converting' a midi with Nokia PC Suite: 'Optimize size'(or something similar) and I turned it off...but everything remained the same. The Nokia PC Suite limits the size...that's obvious...but when I tried transferring the full tone not using it it said 'File Corrupted' once again. The only way is using the 'Make midi tones' option in Nokia PC Suite, but then the size is limited to 14.9kb...which isn't good.

For the .amr-converting:
when you save the file you can select what it should be like, the standard-setting is "MMS 95kb" - you should check it
And this midi-trouble is the reason why I don't use them anymore
But as you said: you memory is quite limited with less than 4MB, but it should be enough for several ringtones.
PC Suite does limit the size, but it also cuts out tone which ain't needed. In the extended editing mode you could set which, but it is more than tricky... hard to find out how it works.

Absolutely great :\...isn't there another way to make full midi files work..apart from taking lessons on how to use extended editing?
