Hi,
I would like to know how I can have my name on the "Home Screen" of my new Motorola V551.
Currently it says "Cingular" and below the date.

You can't replace "Cingular" with any word; however, you can replace the date with a word.

I am going to a cellphone dealer later today and get it unlocked, do you think once I do it I will be able to change it?

Actually, I was able to do it with a program called "OpEdit". It told me where the operator Cingular was listed in the plmn_text_table. After that, I went to all locations with "Cingular" and changed it to my name and it worked. It was cool!!!

Make a profile with your name on it. Then activate the profile. Name appears lower edge center. Motorola i560
