Sidekick vs LX9800 - Email, Instatnt Message & Browser

I am currently useing Sidekick by T-Mobile. I use a frequently email and AOL Instant Message. They charge me for only data with everyhting unlimited email and second pop email and AOLIM txt are unlimited too for 29.99 .. of course web browser too.

The reason I like LX9800 is cdma network and better intercept by Verizon. I realized that Verizon is charging too much by invidual but benefit compare the sidekick?

i dont think Verizon program do not carry second pop email?

Which one do you think the features win Sidekick or LX9800.
I know LX9800 is better by Verizon (CDMA) while T-MOBILE is GSRP. I am focusing on the festures such as email, browser, instant message.

ok, heres the breakdown. i just got the vx9800. and i had the sidekick II ever since it came out last year. what im listing are the features that are better on that phone than the other

are what i was looking for and enjoy with my sidekick. Only things I wanted was bluetooth and video recording.

We know the Sidekick II is better features(Email, IM, Browser, and POP2 forwarding) than LG VX9800. I have not purchased the LG VX9800 yet. I am still thinking.
The only reason I want to buy it, there are 2 into 1 with best reception (CDMA Network) than T-Mobile where I am getting very fustrated due to lost the signal when you go to the retail store, office and basement under Sidekick (GRSP/GSM).

I have not decided yet. I am still tempteting to buy LG VX9800 but I am heavy user on email, IM, Browser and forwarding pop2 than place call on the phone.

To solve my problem... Cancel the voice plan with T Mobile and keep Data subscription with Sidekick II for 29.99 and buy new cell phone Motorola E815 under VerizonWireless (whatever you wish to add minuted plan 450 min at 39.99. It is only 10 buck extra per monthly at your pleased. The bad news is to carry two devices. I have no plm with that as long as the cell phone is getting better reception with VZW.

That is my thought.

I have a VX9800 and I'm overall very happy with it.

From experience the best advice I can give you is DONT drop it on the ground alot. Its a really fragile phone.

And to correct you the VX9800 DOES have AOL IM, MSN IM, and Yahoo Messenger.

The obvious perks for me are the easy keyboard array, comfortable handling when typing and using the direction pad, and the ability to use it like a regular phone or open it up for speaker phone use.

Audio quality is crisp and clear, the "stereo speakers" really do make a difference, but I wouldnt use them for actual mp3 listening. Ringtone quality from VZW Tru Tones is superb though.

As for calls, the reception is excellent, in basements, multiple story buildings, offices, even places that are deliberatly not suppose to receive reception (ie. some owrk places) I have still gotten one or two bars.
Another highlight is the EVDO capability. Defenitely a must if your going to use the Vcast system.

The single most important feature it has over the sidekick 2 is bluetooth capability. Although it cant sync with computer bluetooth products, it works flawlessly with the headsets.

The downsides to this phone arent many but I'll list a few things I dislike.

Picture quality in itself at highest resolution is excellent for a cell phone, but I do not like the brightness settings on the phone. Other peoples regular picture phones can work in darker lighting that my phone would normally take black pictures of. The phone is equipped with a flash, but the flash wont do much justice unless your rather close, and when you use the flash often times it causes the picture to look washed out.

Again this IS just a cellphone, but as compared to some other models I've seen, the picture brightness is a bit lack.

Dont get me wrong though, quality is EXCELLENT.

The only other problem is the phones fragileness. I had to replace my model because a friend of mine dropped it and it caused the main screen to freeze up every so often.

I'm not biased against sidekicks because initially I wanted ot get one, what stopped me was the terrible reception and service of T Mobile. although verizon is more expensive per individual plan I wouldmuch rather pay for a service that has never failed me. Also it includes the Verizon "In" plan where any calls and text/pix messages to another verizon user are free. That feature is cheap in itself and saves you a considerable amount of money.

stick with the sidekick. constant AOL aim and real web and unlimited text is unbeatable. stick with that.

italia10588,, I have a 9800 V and I think it's a great unit. But have a question how can I email ringtones to it ?? I send ringtones and the 9800 saves them as sounds. I can't get the sounds to work as ringtones. and moving?? how do I view full movies ??
