ldr for 7 years now.
i'm in east coast canada, she's in west coast canada. i met her when i went to UBC in vancouver. while i was in school, i was in vancouver for 8mths of the year during a 4 year period. since graduation, it's been more difficult, but nothing we can't handle.
not easy, that's for sure. but, we've gone this far, and it doesn't look like slight "bumps" from now till marriage will bring us down...

i'm on the east coast of canad. used to be on the west coast. girlfriend lived on the east coast. moved here to be with her...married...kids....awesome...

canada?!hes in scarborough ontario (i dunno if its on the east or what). we tried to work things out but.. 7yrs?your soo damn lucky. keep it up.   i still have feelings for him and im willing to give it another try,im ready to sacrifice alot of things just for him. i just hope he knows that.

oh, forget long distance relationship!!
I had such bad experience.
my ex girl friend dumped me after she moved to another city. we had been together for 5 years befor that. it really hurts

I didnt want a ldr, wouldnt consider even dating someone in a nearby state. However, I found someone in another country, spent a month with them, then two more weeks another time, and we have spent time together with chat and web now for 2 years.
This person has great values, and we get along. I'm willing to keep up this chat etc, and wait until the VISA so we can get married.
I don't recomend this for most people, it's tough.

sometimes a ldr is better than dateing someone local but my last ldr when it fell apart i vowed to never do one again.
