hello, i was wondering the same thing, i already got a mini sd card in my phone (lg vx9800) and i got like 20 mp3 songs in it, but i want to set my mp3s as ringtones i dont know how to do it. is there a way i can put some sort of file formats that my phone can play as ringtones, and also can i put my own videos from my comuter to my mini sd card and play them? and if so what format? thank you

you can go to walmart.com, click the music section type in your favorite artist, then select the album, if there is a 30 second clip available, right click then save target as. this is commonly known as the walmart method

You need to have an mp3 smaller than 2mb.. and rename it from .mp3 to .mid - the phone will allow you to set it as a ringtone then....

no it won't because the V (9800) is a Vcast capable phone and will not allow you to set a song file/sound file as a ringtone.

Hi there - my friend just got a VX9800 and tonight I purchased a miniSD card. I loaded about 10 songs on there and when I go to them on the VX9800 menu it says "no songs found". Yet, I take the same card - put it into the SD adapter and place that in my Treo 650 and the songs play fine? I used the standard MP3 format and non-copyrighted songs. Any suggestions on how I can get it to play on the VX9800? Thanks!

Search around on the web, there is probably a way around all the limiations verizons force on this phone. Stupid verizon.
