"To get rid of the annoying side beeps/turn them down use xvi32 to mod the gain table, you want to change offset offset 4E to 0 (no bit manipulation just change the actual value to 00 or 01. "

Can you give me any more details on this?

Wow, thanks so much! I've got the color scheme changed. I haven't found one that is truly transparent, as is what I'm looking for. I'm sure I'll find that download somewhere. Any idea of any software that I can use to do it myself?

My only thing is that I have already modified a new Web Session using that information from the Rogers site, but it still won't connect me. It just gives me the Connecting thing for 5 minutes, and then an error message - Cannot connect to Data Server, try again later. Or something like that. Any ideas? Would the flex/flash that I did prevent it from connecting? Cuz I basically stripped all of the Rogers stuff from my phone...

And as for the skinning - I have a v300 so it doesn't support that. But I do have "themes"... any idea of where to download some good ones? Or make them myself? What do I need to modify to get ride of the time?

Lastly, modifying the gain table... yeah, no clue how to do that. If you can direct me to a good newbie "how-to", that'd be appreciated. Thanks so much!

http://xlr8.us/hofo and no the flex will not prevent you from connecting, it either your settings (they are case sensitve so recheck them especially the password) or its on Rogers end.

Spoke 2 soon, the annoying beeps are gone but had the unforeseen consequence that my alarm is now silent as well - hence late for work this morning!!!!

Any idea if it is possible to turn those beeps off but leave the alarm working?

Best Regards

Mike

No - and changed back to 08 and alarm started working again (as did beeps unfortunately).

Had a look on hofo and its not clear - suggests that the system setting affects playing of beep type sounds (e.g. classic) but this doesn`t seem to be full story - I tried changing alarm tone to an mp3 rather than "classic" but that had no effect - still no alarm with 4E set to 00.

Again weird... my system sounds are set to 00 and I woke up this morning using my V3 alarm... with a Ringtone that I made myself.

Yes, I too have the same problem. I have a v300 that I flexed witha bare v3 flex. I can't remember what program I used, but I set it to 0 for the system tone and now my alarm is silent. I set it to 1, and the side beeps are super loud, but I have my alarm function back. Can't seem to get it right in the middle...
