The GSM version of the V200 can NOT play MP4 videos.
The CDMA prototype version of the V200 can play pre-loaded videos.
This option was dropped from final development of the phone to save on memory size, and download capabilities.
Hopefully we'll see this option in future Samsung models.

I also notice that the total flash memory for the V200 is 16 mb. The firmware takes around 15mb and the rests are filled with pre-installed wallpapers and ringtones. Now we are left to a tiny bit of memory for our own ringtones and wallpapers and photos if i understand how to modify the firmware, I would just delete all the ringtones and wallpapers (pre-installed) that I don't like and replace it with the ones I like

that is what samsung DIY does.
you can replace the animations, ringtones etc...
