Hey guys,

Here's my problem. I purchased a bluetooth adapter so I could transfer files from my Razr to my computer and vice versa. Okay so one day last week I transfered over an mp3 for the first time and it was around 100kb. I set it as my ringtone and all was well. The next day I decided to add another similarly sized mp3 to the list and after it had finished downloading onto the phone I get this error message "The file "filename".mp3 is corrupt." Okay so I try another mp3, same thing. I then send the mp3 that was on the phone from the day before to my computer, then send it back to the phone and I get the same error message. And now every mp3 I send to the phone gets me that message.

Anyone know how I can fix this? I got to enjoy this feature for one day, this really blows. icon_ermm.gif

Thanks,
StevoM

Hopefully your sending .mp3's and not just renaming the songs to .mp3. Also try using a audio encoder to encode or convert the songs properly, and a mp3 cutter to bring down the audio clips to say 20 or 30 seconds at 96kbps, mono, 16-bit. That should do for you. Any questions feel free to ask, but as for the audio programs, you might wanna try downloading audacity, and the audacity mp3(lame) plugin.

I used iTunes to convert the original file to mp3 before I sent it to the phone and that one worked perfectly. All other mp3's after that were viewed as corrupt. So as a test I sent that first mp3 from the phone back to my computer and then back to the phone and it too, to my surprise, was seen as corrupt which is the weird part. It's as if all of a sudden the phone decides all mp3's are going to be viewed as corrupt files, even the one that I had on there before that I know worked perfectly.

This might sound naive but is there anyway to "reboot" the phone or reverse the glich that has occured, or any other solution to fixing this? Thank you.

Master Reset is the term you seek. This will not delete stuff.

Master clear, however, will.

I have the same problem with my Razr V3. Anyone has any solution. I was also able to transfer at first and then could not even the files that worked initially. What gives?

Try deleting the two .db files in your audio folder (using one of the p2k progs) and restarting your phone
