I too bought the LG VX7000 data cable make#CLGE7000DAT1 INSTEN from Ebay from the iTrimming seller.
the Cable came in a sealed package WITH a driver CD, these Drivers appear to be the same ones that I have found on the web at cellphonemall.net
The problem is that All I can get the cable to do is CHARGE to phone.
I have installed several different sets of drivers, including the ones on the CD, the ones from the cellphonemall site and even the datapilot ones.
Always I have uninstalled the previous drivers and rebooted the computer but None of them have made any difference in recognizing the cell phone. Powered on or off.
I have the Bitpim latest ver. installed but it doesn't offer any COM port that would connect to the cell phone, nor does the device manager show any new COM Ports.
I am getting quite frusturated.
What tricks have worked?
Am I using the wrong drivers?
Please don't tell me the cable is junk!
It seemed like some one here has had success but I can't find any explaination as to what they did.
Please post what needs to be done.
you can also email me directly as cloudycloud47x2@yahoo.com
Thank you.

I got the same exact cable from everydaysource. It worked fine (bitpim) with my vx7000 and vx5200 however it did not recognize the vx3200. I have no idea why considering the documentation online says it supports the 3200. Any explanation would be helpful.

I ordered both a car charger and wall charger from iTrimming/eForcity and within weeks both disintegrated. First the wires came loose so that they no longer charged the phone, then the plastic casing split apart. I sent the items back to the company in February and they sent back the BAD accessories claiming that they have a 30-return policy and basically if it's after 30 days, you're SOL. thanks to another poster here, I called the company directly and they said that since this is not a routine issue they would replace the accessories (reminding me of the 30-day policy). So if it were routine and they knew about the problem, I would be screwed? Which begs the question of fraud if they are selling parts they know are not "high-quality" and built to last. Anyway, I will inspect these chargers at 20 days and if they are even the least bit suspect, back they go. The moral: You get less than what you pay for with itrimming/eforcity. I must say, however, that I do appreciate their customer service once you locate a phone number. (888) 891-CITY (891-2489). The email is useless.
