I got this Infinite Wireless datacable off of ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5810545603&rd=1&ssp agename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1 and I can't get it installed on my comp. I managed to get one of the USB to COM drivers installed but then it would not activate since windows was not able to figure out what the settings needed to be. It does not auto detect when I plug it in. Just about the only thing it does is charge my phone off the computer power. Anyone have any idea how I can get this to install correctly?

I would bet that it is installed correctly. LG cables detect the cable, not the phone itself. In order to detect the phone, you need the LG data suite (use the LG1100 regardless of what phone you have) or some other upload program, like DataPilot. Then you can transfer stuff to your hearts content.

Hey Yuki84,
so, buying the cable/CD from "Infinite Wireless" (i had planned to do so today) does nothing as far as synching or uploading ringtones? You mention a data suite for LG1100 . Do you think the LG 1100 suite from "Infinite Wireless" would work and not just charge the phone?
thanks for the help

I actually left good feedback because I sent to my house and not my dorm where I am currently and they sent it really quick so I just left feedback that said quick shipping. I did not have a chance to try it out for awhile and find out it did not work. However I complained to eBay and so they sent me another cable which also does not work so I would guess that these cables do not work. I tried them on 2 different computers and all the different USB ports on them and nothing worked. All it does is charge my phone. The cable will not install.

Be careful of the following sellers as well (who also sell the data cables): Eforcity, everydaysource, accstation AND itriming
I sent the following to ebay:
I had planned on buying a LG data cable from Accstation ( ITEM 5822136859 ) but then realized iTrimming ( ITEM 5822283231 ) was selling the same one for less but for the same exact shipping cost and same verbiage (" For US orders, S&H is $6.99 for the 1st item + $2.99 for each additional item(s). (The discount applies only to $6.99 shipping profile")
I know for a fact that the below address is used for Eforcity, Accstation, iTrimming and EveryDaySource. The phone #s are bit diffferent but the 2 below #s are the shared ones.
P.O. Box 1368
Arcadia, CA 91077-1368
(888) 891-CITY (891-2489) , (626) 246-0203
A little more digging brought me to here http://www.resellerratings.com/seller5212.html
I checked http://www.labbb.org/ and it seems, for the most part, each company has different ratings.

Could you please send it to me, too? I also bought from iTrimming, and my phone is the VX3300.
