connect SERIAL cable to pc and then to the phone (without sim card inside).
put these ranges into optiflash:
0x20000000 - 0x20ffffff
0x21000000 - 0x21ffffff
(taken from http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/showpost.php?p=1217749&postcount=35 here)
press READ
it says "power on Mobile"
press "power" on the phone for 2 second, then optiflash will load the firmware (it takes about 1 hour)
enjoy
ciao
ps. I had a 96mb firmware

Dude! I know that! lol
I've tried every combination I could think of to get optiflash to work!
When I first started modding the v200 everybody believed you had to remove the sim when flashing or you would kill the sim. I never worried about that and I proved that you could flash with the sim in and no harm would come of it.
With the e710 many still followed the "old" flashing instructions and would remove the battery after every flash! I found that with the e710 didn't have any kind of "freeze after flash" problems and started loading many mods one after another, only pressing the on/off when asked. When I was finished with all my uploads/flashes I would start the phone as normal! never removing the battery or sim!
Now for this e720! As I said, I've tried everything to get my backup so I can start to mod this phone!
Optiflash just doesn't know that I pressed the on/off button and won't start the read....
What I really need is to find the USB drivers which recognize "WMC USBL App" so I can flash throught the usb cable. I've searched for them but no luck so far..... I did find a post somewhere which pointed me to "PL-2303" usb drivers but when I installed them, I don't know if they didn't work for this cable or maybe because the Samsung drivers are still in the system that windows would only except the Samsung drivers and not even consider using the new ones.....?
Why would the phone turn off when I plug in the serial cable? Shouldn't I be able to use PIMS through that cable just as easy as the usb!!? I would think so! I mean, if the e810 cable has the same pin out as e720 then I should be able to do everything with it not just flash right?
Thanks for helping by the way!
There doesn't seem to be very many people with this phone and/or many who want new mods! Because I can't seem to find the answer to this "serial cable" power on problem anywhere even though I'm not the only one having it.

Hi there!
Spl33n, I saw that you have found a way to dump your firmware, with the help of this forum site and the ANVI forum, but I haven't find your version of firmware on one of these... Could you tell me where I can download it, because my phone is still in E720XXEC6 version, and I heard that any newer version will fix the bad sound quality of this incredible phone (!?).
Thanks in advance.
