You dont actually pay anything extra for Rollover Mins. Policies changes at any time. States in your Contract...Other carriers if you dont use em you lose so cingular allow you to roll them over. so quit compl..

well the reason why we did that is because people where abuseing the rollover min switching to al ower plan purposly just to use them, and no matter what cell phone company you go to there not in the business of loseing money, thats why we started prorateing rollover min when you duck down to a lower plan, i agree we should of told everyone but how many people do you know who want something for nothing and like to find loop holes in the system, thats why we re did our policy so the rollover minutes are not abused anymore.

I always try to get customer's rollover minutes back when I get them because if you had 1 phone and switch to a family plan and adding more revenue to the company vs. someoine just changing rate plans back and forth every few months.. Most of the situations I see is not abuse of rollover minutes so I try to give them as many minutes as possible that they used to have because someone with like 1,000's of rollover minutes isn't going to use them anyways. and if you are going over on your plan you need to change your rate plan anyways.

The rules havent chngd...they have been the same all the way through with rollover mins...Most reps who tell customers that are authorized agents not actual Cingular employees...they are just trying to make a sale.

actually the rules did change significantly last summer... previously you could keep all rollover minutes after a rate plan change... since the restructuring of the rate plans the maximum rollover balance is the number of minutes in the rate plan you are moving to... so *obviously* you are on an old plan or started one after the restructuring of the plans

Working in a corp store, I've noticed this hasn't been as big an issue as it's been made out to be by alot of people on the net...
"You want to go down in plan, ok I can do that, however your rollover minutes will be capped at the plan level starting your next bill cycle, then you'll be able to build them up again"
This line works everytime, and "almost" no body complains...

Right. Sure. Just like when Cingular promised me that when I simply Changed Phone Numbers I would not lose my rollover. BLSHT. Plain and simple.
Oh, and you think I wont use up the 5467 rollover minutes? Boy are you wrong. I am down to only 1055 now.
And if anyone thinks about telling me to switch... you must be nuts. No company is perfect, but T-Mobile and Verison don't have near the coverage of Cingular, and Alltell doesn't have rollover.

I have found loads of news reports online that sometime in 2007 Cingular will change back to ATT. Something about the companies that own/owned Cingular and ATT.... Personally I dislike ATT due to prior service issues in past years and charges that were rediculous. I do NOT want to have ATT on my Cingular phones!!!!
Is this news report factually based? Are they really that serious to think that all these customers who were forced over to Cingular are going to take being forced BACK?
I spent the last while checking out the other wireless providers only to find that Cingular has the best coverage and options.... I am afraid that might change if they go back to being ATT.
WIth this possiblility in the air, I would like to purchase a new phone and put my existing sim card in it without renewing a contract with Cingular. My 2yr contract is up and we are now bascially month to month. Can I buy a phone from these places online without renewing a contract? What about the loss/damage coverage? Or my current subscriptions to web weather?
