Installed the LG driver as you described; but now what. Bitpim still wants a serial port to talk to the phone with, and the driver didn't make a new serial port appear.

When I go to install the driver, it is looking for a .inf file, which was not part of the Verizon install. Am I missing something? Please help! Thanks!

First, get the songs from the CD unto your computer; then in BitPim-Ringtones-Click on Add (top left corner), select the file and it will convert and add the song to bitpim, then Data-Send Phone Data-select Ring Tone and whether you want to add the rigntone or replace all existing.
Same thing works for wallpapers
Hope this helps
If you have any more questions I'll be happy to help

All right, let's try this:
When you open BitPim, look for this on top:
Today Phonebook Wallpapers Ringers Calendar Memo ...
Click on Ringers (for ringtones)
Then once you are in ringtones, above the menu there are two buttons Add and Delete; use the Add to add ringtones like i explained before
then once the ringtone that you want is in the BitPim and your cell is connected to your computer go to the menu on top (File Edit Data View Help)
Click on Data, scroll down and click on Send Data, a window pops up, check the box next to Ringtones and click OK.
Now your files are being transfered to your cell

bitpim doesnt convert them into midi files it gives you the option to compress the mp3 file
