hi starwars fan, i too have a LG vx6100 before i bought the datacable for it i just wanted to double check that the drivers from your website work with windows xp because i didn't see it there.

edit: will the vx 6100 play real mp3's with words or just sounds like a midi file?

bitpim doesnt convert them into midi files it gives you the option to compress the mp3 file

midi is completely different from mp3's. Midi contains digital melodies, and midi does not have voice. So they are definitely not the same.

Hey.. I am also having issues with BipPim recognizing my phone.. I have downloaded every driver out there and it still does not detect it.. it's searching in COM1 and 3. But both of these are already in use and I'm connecting via USB.. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated..

I still don't get a USB confirmation icon when I hook up the phone to the comp, so I'm assuming I don't have the proper driver.. i'm running the LG 3200...

Thanks,

stupid question, but does your usb port recognize that there is anything hooked up? and, if not, is it a usb that u have used before?

Try the official verizon drivers on my website. First Download Daemon Tools once you have that installed go to http://www.vx7000world.com click on software and download the file labeled official verizon drivers for LG phones. Then right click The daemon tools icon in the taskbar (lightning bolt). Virtual CD-ROM, then go to device 0 mount image, and click on the file you downloaded from my site. The verizon menu should pop up, and then click install drivers. Hope this helps.
