No problem bud.
Maybe it's the fact that I'll walk in to the shop with a deaf mate, using British Sign Language that terrifies the shop assistant. They always look so relieved when I start speaking.
Maybe it's the fact that I'm covered with armoured clothing, with kevlar placed appropriately about my person.
It's something, but whatever it is, they usually help me to get what I'm after. Maybe it's because I know what I'm after, baffling them with their own jargon, and they can see they're not going to get a sale until I'm perfectly happy. Answers on a post card please.

please help! just glancing through this thread... i have a nokia6210 (i think!), when i am on a call, it is no where near loud enough for me, BUT, i cannot work out how to turn the volume up.
usually i just press the up key and by using this i will be able to adjust the volume while i am on a call, but this is a new phone, and when i press any of the keys i get either the camera, or the calander.... I AM GOING NUTS.... i have glanced thru the manual but cannot see where it tells me about volume on a call...
i realise its probably something obvious, but if anyone could help i would be so grateful. i have no idea why it accesses the camera or calander while i am on a call, doesnt make sense, but i swear thats whats happening....
hope u can help

6210 is pretty old and doesn't have a camera
Take a look at www.nokia.com, maybe you get there a clue which phone you've got.
But there are normally two options:
Either your phone has on the left side keys to adjust the volume or it is left-right on the navigation key.

Emma,
I suspect you have a 6230 as it has shortcut keys on the main Navikey.
As Bjoern says, it's on the left side of the phone.
Failing that, you'll probably see the right softkey showing an option for loudspeaker. If your phone's still not loud enough (outside), try that, turn the loudspeaker to your ear, and turn the volume down to suit.
