All,
SUCCESS!!!!!! I am in the process of writing this up, but the short is, I am now back to 8.23 after updating to 8.26. This is NOT for the faint at heart as it requires some desoldering of your main board. The write up will be out in a few minutes.
THanks Old_Fool!!!! The test point worked with some modifications!!!!

RAZR: $300 (-$150 mail in rebate)
Soldering Iron: $15
EE degree: $80k

unlocking your phone and giving 'the man' the proverbial finger: priceless.

Absolutely NOT!! I dont suggest it for anything. In all honesty, I was hoping it would break the phone so I would have a reason to get another!!

I am not sure, but I can let you know when I get my V551 back. That wont be for about a week or so (its at Motorola). I will be glad to tear it apart to find out though if you can wait that long.
