I can appreciate that, but as good as two cans and a string really is, it's not very compatible with the other phone technologies, however there is a strong advantage in case of complete power failure.

If it is me who make the decision, a legitimate company can change policy anytime, but at least they should notice and honor existing customers the existing policy.
