I bought a Motorola MPX 200 that was orginally a AT&T phone that was new and unlocked from ebay. When I do a search for networks I only see AT&T and T-Mobile. I called customer support and they said that cingular here runs off of 850mhz and 1900mhz and my phone will pick up 1900mhz. I can make calls and recieve text messages, but can't get the phone to pick up on a cingular tower. Also since this was orginally made for AT&T will my gprs and wireless stuff ever work?

if your phoes sees an ATT tower its OK... that tower hasnt been integrated yet......
but it is true... your phone is 1800/1900 capable only...which limits you somewhat...
for data...go here... tell it you have a mpx 220

I have sent the phone back. Next time I will look and make sure the phone operates on 850 (really sucks because I liked this phone a lot.)
Thanks for the help.
