Our Razr has suddenly stopped producing sound out of the earpiece, and we haven't tried using the Motokit. There is also no evidence or memory that the phone was dropped excessively. Does this happen a lot with Razrs, or is it just us?

If it stopped suddenly and you have done no mods then it is most likely a hardware issue - maybe a loose wire?
Its not an everyday issue

sometimes those intricate pieces are delicate to sudden shock
I have a razr v3 that I got from a friend, I got it working throught att, then I tried calling people and they couldn't hear me. Then I tried to record a video and there was no sound. That made me think that the microphone isn't working anymore. Is there anything I can do? Everything else works perfectly fine.
