Hi, I am new here but a couple of days ago I won a Nokia N90 in a Nokia "Own it first Sweepstakes". The phone came with a 50 dollar prepaid tmobile sim card. I live in Northwest Alabama and tmobile doesnt work here and wanted to use my cingular sim card in the phone. I inserted it and get a "not on network " message and it doesnt work. I called Nokia who said to call Cingular, I called them and they said the phone was locked, and take it into one of their locations to unlock it. I drove the 40 miles to one of their stores and the people there had never seen a n90 and could not help. They said to call TMobile. I called Tmobile and they were very nice, they sent in a request to the unlock department for the unlock code. The unlock department emailed me within 24 hours saying they needed more info. I called Tmobile back and the lady said the first person who filled out the request didnt do it correctly and resubmitted the request, this time filled out right. Once again I got an email back from the unlock department asking for more information. I called tmobile and they sent my call to tech service where I was told I needed to call Nokia for the unlock code.
I am in a neverending circle. How do I get the code????
The phone doesnt work where I live, is anyone interested in buying it or trading.
sorry for the long post,
Thanks
Jim

Yeah
Im in the same boat.
I bought an N90 yesterday without service, because I have a bunch of t mobile sims, but when I slide one in, it appears to be locked.
After calling the t mobile unlock dept., im told to call nokia..but when a phone is locked, that is done by the service provider. Not the manufactuer. So of course Nokia told me just that. "we dont lock or unlock phones. What is actually locked is the service getting to the phone that t mobile should know about and deal with.
Anyone with any help to offer would be great.
Because it looks like you HAVE to get this phone with service from Ritz camera, otherwise you will be dead in the water
